Autumn Term 2011
This was ensemble playing at its very best, with a cast involving pupils from Year 8 to the Upper Sixth who played with passion, conviction and an unerring sense of theatre. The business of the play is horribly dark, the trafficking of children in 1742, contrasted with the beauty of Handel’s music and the goodness of men like Thomas Coram who created the Foundling Hospital.
