Art

In this creative subject, imaginations are stretched and children have fun. Art is delivered in our art studio, which provides a range of opportunities. Our children experience a variety of different genres and styles from differing cultures. They develop their knowledge, skills, techniques and confidence in designing and making 2 and 3-D work.

Children develop enquiring minds about images and artefacts, which are a part of historical and contemporary societies. They collect and organise visual information for a variety of purposes. Our children will express opinions on, and evaluate, their own work and that of others, from a variety of times and places. They will study different types of art including: abstract, fantasy, Impressionistic, landscape, still life and portrait.
