Through a series of exciting humanities topics, from homes through the ages to smugglers, and by making visits all over the Island, children develop an understanding of chronology. They begin to realise that the past can be divided into different periods of time. Children appreciate similarities and differences between periods of time by, for example, looking at a collection of kitchen artefacts. They develop their knowledge and understanding of local geography through a number of exciting activities, including a town walk.
