Knowledge and understanding of the world

 Through an exciting and varied range of activities both in and out of the classroom, children develop the crucial knowledge, skills and understanding that helps them to make sense of the world. This forms the foundation for later work in science, design and technology, humanities and ICT. Children explore the Isle of Wight and learn about the past. Studies of different cultures and countries bring ‘the wider world’ into the classroom.
