Spanish

At A Level we are currently using OCR for the final A2 year and the specification can be accessed at http://www.ocr.org.uk/Data/publications/key_documents/cquartetOCRTempFile3cT0e7Lx54.pdf for both A2 French (7861) and Spanish (7863). Students sit papers 2651, 2652 and 2653 for AS French and 2671, 2672 and 2673 for AS Spanish. Students sit papers 2654, 2655 and 2657 (coursework) for A2 French and 2674, 2675 and 2677 (coursework) for A2 Spanish.
 
From Sept 08 the AS French and Spanish will be AQA. Full specification details are in the printed specification given to all members of staff or via the website at http://www.aqa.org.uk/qual/gce/pdf/AQA-2650-2660-2695-W-SP-10.PDF
 
 
The Department also subscribes to several educational interactive languages websites. Currently we use Zut, Linguascope, Linguastars, Languagesonline and MFL games.. Students very much enjoy IT based activities and the exploitation of these resources through the laptops or the SmartBoards provides much enjoyment whilst learning. Pupils can access these resources at home and details of websites and passwords are given below. Beyond the sites listed below there are also Linguamate exercises available in the student shared area for all units. All students are encouraged to continue their practice at home to improve language retention.
