Students looking for a broad curriculum with an international perspective will find the IB accessible and stimulating. For many students, the IB Diploma Programme provides an ideal opportunity to study subjects in depth, but also to maintain breadth of learning up to the age of 18 years.
The IBDP offers a continuum of high quality education that encourages international awareness and a positive attitude to independent learning, and which compels students to be involved in the wider school and community life.
The Diploma consists of six subjects with one chosen from each of the groups listed below. Three subjects are taken at Higher Level (HL) and three at Standard Level (SL). In addition, all students must meet the requirements of the core which involves:

TOK (Theory of Knowledge) - critical thinking and evaluation skills.
CAS (a programme of Creativity, Action and Service). At Ryde, the extra-curricular programme is extensive and this programme provides formal recognition of achievement in fields outside the classroom.
