University Open Days
There are two elements to the choice – what subject to study and where to study it?
Regarding the WHAT - www.prospects.ac.uk is an attractive site, aimed at University Undergraduates, with a good deal of information about the link between Degree subjects at actual jobs/professions.
Regarding WHERE - Picking a University on the basis of hearsay and just exploration on the web can be disastrous: visiting at least a short-list of potential universities is very wise and it should help to avoid joining the 10% to 20% of the students who do not complete their first year.
Open Days are the formal and well organised way to see what a University has to offer, but less formal visits can often be arranged. See individual University websites. Mr MacArthur and Mr Baxter can offer specific advice about selection of Universities.
Information about Open Days and bookings can be found here:

If you are a pupil at the School and you wish to attend an Open Day, a Ryde School Open Day form should be completed and signed, as appropriate - Please click here for form
